Jayce Vancena-RHP 2014

Big strong body that projects out to the pro level.  Fast ball sat at 86-88mph, and touched 89-90mph several times.  Showed late breaking curve ball at 73-74mph, and change up had arm side run and good arm speed.  When he worked ahead in the count with his fastball he was dominant.

Adrian Calez-2014-LHP

Medium size, with athletic build. Fastball sat at 83-85 mph, and showed feel for his off-speed pitches.  Has good arm side run on fast ball, and has a quick arm that will continue to add velocity as he gets stronger and repeats his delivery.

Jacob Sadowski 2013 1B/LHP

Lefty/lefty first baseman who was 5 for 7 on the day.  Showed a consistent line drive swing, with the ability to square up the baseball to all parts of the field.  Hit well with runners in scoring position, and had a number of RBIs on the day.

Connor Faix- 2013 RHP

6’4” lean projectable body, has a live arm.  Fast ball sat between 85-89 mph, and showed a breaking ball with good depth and late break.  A converted catcher, who has a a short smooth arm stroke, and a lot of upside.

Brendan Lange- 2013 C

Active catcher who showed very well defensively.  Works hard behind the plate, blocks, receives, and throws well.  Between innings had pop time of 1.94, and consistently kept runners close by picking behind.

Salsbury 2013 LHP- Was very effective by pounding the zone with a low 80s fast ball while mixing in a nice breaking ball.  Worked fast between pitches, and went at hitters, still has more left in his arm.

Eli Kraus- 2014 LHP

Plus pitch ability with three pitches, and repeats his delivery on every pitch.  Sat 82-85mph on his fast ball, and had two variations to his breaking ball, slow loopy at 67-68, and a tight slurve at 72-73mph.  Has good arm side run on his fast ball, and demonstrated ability to throw any pitch in any count by freezing hitter in 3-2 count with his, “get me over” breaking ball.

Nick Fabian-2014 OF/RHP

Tall, lean, athletic build.  Shows the ability to be a two way player at the college level.  Good speed on the bases, as well as instincts.  Does a good job of moving the baseball to put pressure on the defense.  As he starts to utilize his lower half more he will have more pop, but still is a very solid gap to gap hitter at this point.

Justin Mott- 2014 C/INF

Has quick feet and a plus arm from the catching position.  Ball has good carry when he throws to second base.  Very athletic behind the plate, blocks well, and would be considered a plus defender.

Kyle Michalik 2013 RHP/INF

Short swing, with very good bat speed.  Showed the ability to get on top of fast ball up in the zone by driving it to the left center field gap.  Has good speed on bases, stretched a single into a double, and took the extra base on a good read from a throw from the outfield.  Showed strong arm throwing across on several routine ground balls.

Andrew Lee-2014 OF

Had a number of hits on the day, and worked the ball to all fields.  Was aggressive in fast ball counts, ran the bases very  hard, almost beat out a routine ground ball to the short stop.
